Hi, I'm Michaela!
I started my career in corporate travel years ago. In 2019, while I was working a corporate marketing job for Marriott in New York City, I gave birth to my first child.
I quickly realized that the rushed mornings, 60 hour work weeks, and quick weekends would no longer work with my life. I knew I needed to find a better way.
I didn’t leave my corporate travel career because I didn’t love it, I left because I didn’t love the hours and the separation from my family.
Coordinating travel and watching clients enjoy curated experiences was still something that lit me up inside. But, I still wasn’t sure how I could take that knowledge and make money on my own.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, my family relocated to the US Virgin Islands.
To make ends meet, I started managing social media accounts for businesses in the travel industry. Instead of paying me a monthly fee, they mentioned paying “per booking” I was able to generate for their business.
And just like that, it all started to click!
I woke up one day in July 2020 and said “I know what our business is and it’s called Caribbean Concierge.”
I started my business THAT same day and I made my first commission the VERY NEXT DAY. I knew I was onto something.
Looking back, the biggest thing that led to the success of my business was that I let go of perfectionism and just took action. I learned so much in those first few months, and even on the hardest days I always knew it was going to work.
In the midst of a global pandemic, I planned over 200 trips to the US Virgin Islands and since then we’ve planned well over 2,000 - with the help of a really amazing team, now! 👏🏻
Within 6 months, the business was generating enough income to support our household.
Several years later, my business continues to grow every day and produces over $2 million in sales each year.
I feel so lucky to have the business & lifestyle that I always dreamed of. Now, I’m on a mission to help other women find the same!
While working with Michaela, I have built my business from scratch including development of my niche, website, CRM, corporate formation, and business approach. I feel more confident about launching my business and am very excited to share my niche and new country with others.
